A brief introduction...

My name is Mai-Brit and I'm a 28 year old with an amazing husband named Justin and an eccentric dog named Tripps. Together we try to live a simple life and enjoy all of the rich blessings we have been given. As we work towards having a family of our own one day, we spend our time doing the things we love. This is my attempt to capture some of the projects, daily going-on's, favorite recipes, and design inspiration.

Our happy little house

We live in a great little house built back in the 1950's. Justin bought it the summer we met - he saw the potential hiding behind the Kermit green kitchen (cabinets, ceiling, walls), dirt pile for a backyard, overgrown hedges surrounding the place, and poop brown walls in the master bedroom - just to name a few. It's taken a lot of hard work to get it cleaned up and as any of you with older houses know - there is always a new project to be done. But that is what we love about it - bit by bit we've created a place we love to call home.
